President’s Message

Brooke means, Au.D.
2026-2027 GAA President
It is an honor to serve as the President of the Georgia Academy of Audiology for the 2026-2027 year. I look forward to working alongside such a dedicated community of professionals who are committed to advancing hearing and balance healthcare across our state.
Audiology continues to evolve rapidly, bringing both exciting opportunities and important challenges. As we move forward together, I remain committed to supporting our profession through advocacy, education, collaboration, and mentorship. The strength of our Academy comes from the passion and expertise of its members, and I am inspired by the work being done every day in clinics, hospitals, universities, private practices, and communities throughout Georgia.
Over the coming year, my goals include fostering greater member engagement, supporting professional growth for audiologists at every stage of their careers, and continuing to strengthen our voice in legislative and healthcare discussions that impact our profession and the patients we serve.
I would like to sincerely thank our current and past leaders for their dedication and service to the Academy. Their efforts have built a strong foundation, and I am excited to continue that work with the support of our Board and membership.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve. I look forward to an impactful year ahead and encourage each of you to stay involved, share your ideas, and continue contributing to the growth and success of the Georgia Academy of Audiology.
With gratitude,
Brooke Means, Au.D.
President, Georgia Academy of Audiology
