    2025-2026 GAA President

It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I step into the role of President of the Georgia Academy of Audiology for the 2025–2026 year. I am excited to lead such a dynamic and dedicated group of audiology professionals committed to excellence in audiologic healthcare across Georgia.

My focus this year is legislative power—and the advantages we hold with strong representation at our state Capitol. As audiologists we are uniquely positioned to advocate for the populations we serve by using our collective voice to educate and inform legislators and their teams. GAA is fortunate to have experienced, wonderful lobbyists listening, working and negotiating on our behalf. I want all of the audiologists in GAA and our state to know how important our lobbyists are, how fortunate we are to have them and the power they help us maintain in our profession.  They ensure that audiologists remain the leaders of audiology healthcare decisions in Georgia.

I encourage all GAA members to stay engaged—whether by attending our annual Capitol Day and convention, responding to advocacy calls, or sharing your energy and ideas with our organization. Together, we can ensure a stronger future for our profession and our patients.

Thank you for your continued commitment to GAA. I look forward to all we will achieve together this year.

    With gratitude,
    Meryl Miller, Au.D.
    President, Georgia Academy of Audiology
